Lextran is determined to establish
itself as a world leading technology
for reducing SOx, NOx, Mercury
and other heavy metals, emitted
by power plants and industrial
installations burning coal
or heavy fuels.

-
Founded in 1997, Lextran is a pioneer in single-step simultaneous removal of sulfur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen oxides (NOx), mercury
(Hg) and other heavy metals emitted by combustion plants. Privately-held, Lextran's main share holders are: Ludan Engineering Co. Ltd — 28% (by its subsidiary Ludan Environmental Group), Eitan Establishment South Africa — 8.4% , Poleris Energy Chemical Company Ltd (China) — 4.4%, private investors — 59% .
-
Lextran's patented technology introduces a unique, three-in-one approach to reduce SO2, NOx and mercury emissions, employing
Lextran's patented organic liquid catalyst.
The simple, multi-pollutant process requires minimum equipment and only liquid reagents, as well as a relatively small footprint,
and is considerably less costly in terms of investment and operation than technologies that treat each pollutant separately.
-
Lextran's technology either meets or substantially exceeds all international regulatory requirements, including almost complete
removal of SO2, mercury and other heavy metals; up to 60% removal of NOx and partial removal of particles. In addition,
Lextran's process yields a valuable, commercial-grade fertilizer as byproduct.
-
Lextran's technology is applicable to different types of target customers, such as coal and heavy fuel fired power plants and
industrial installations, diesel power plants, solid waste management incinerators and any other combustion plant emitting
SO2, NOx and mercury.
-
Lextran provides its customers with a complete set of tailored services, from conception to execution. Delivering quality within
time and budget frames, Lextran's technology is available for implementation in full scale capacity as a turnkey project
or on a BOO/BOT basis, as well as under a customized basic engineering package.
-
Lextran has recently completed the erection of its first operational installation in Iasi, Romania. The installation, treating the flue gases emitted by a 25MW production unit
at a power plant in Iasi, was supported and partially funded by the Dutch government. Continuously broadening its international presence, Lextran is currently establishing
subsidiaries in China and South Africa. The company is headquartered in Petach Tikva, Israel.
